Glo­bal Pro­test against the Ger­man Self-ID law – Glo­ba­ler Pro­test gegen das Selbstbestimmungsgesetz

Dear sis­ters, we are in need. We, the women. Not only in Ger­ma­ny – world­wi­de, whe­ther west or east, whe­ther north or south. On April 12 this year, the Ger­man govern­ment adopted the Self-ID Act („Selbstbestimmungs­gesetz“), legal­ly repla­cing the cate­go­ry of sex with gender.

As of Novem­ber 1 in Germany:

• Every Ger­man adult can chan­ge their civil sta­tus to the oppo­si­te sex and their new name.
• Anyo­ne who con­ti­nues to refer to a man who claims to have a „fema­le gen­der iden­ti­ty“ as a man can be fined up to €10,000.
• Par­ents can choo­se the offi­ci­al gen­der for their new­born child, after the age of 5 the child’s „con­sent“ will be required.
• Child­ren aged 14+ can app­ly to a fami­ly court if their par­ents do not sup­port their belief in their „wrong body“.

The Ger­man govern­ment is sel­ling its miso­gy­ni­stic poli­ci­es as „femi­nist“. Such hypo­cri­sy is unbe­ara­ble! The Ger­man govern­ment igno­res the voices of women’s rights acti­vists in the country.

But it also igno­res EU voices denoun­cing vio­la­ti­ons of women’s rights in Ger­ma­ny, such as:

• Pro­sti­tu­ti­on has been legal for over 20 years;
• Vio­lence against mothers and child­ren. The harmful and unsci­en­ti­fic PAS (Paren­tal Ali­en­ati­on Syn­dro­me) con­cept is still being used in fami­ly courts;
• Rest­ric­ting the poli­ti­cal par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on of women. Women are pre­ven­ted from tal­king about gen­der-based violence.

Recent­ly, the UN Spe­cial Rap­por­teur on vio­lence against girls and women – Reem Alsa­lem – published a 17-page let­ter on the Self-Deter­mi­na­ti­on Act to our Fede­ral For­eign Minis­ter Anna­le­na Baer­bock. In it, she asks the fede­ral govern­ment how they intend to ensu­re the pro­tec­tion against vio­lence and the safe­ty of girls and women with this legis­la­ti­on. A meanin­g­less three-page rep­ly came back from the Per­ma­nent Mis­si­on of the Fede­ral Repu­blic of Ger­ma­ny at the UN.

Women’s voices are being igno­red. All we hear from poli­ti­ci­ans is,

• “Not­hing will be taken away from you!”
• “A penis is not a male geni­tal per se”
• „No doc­tor can attest from the mere looks which sex a per­son has.“
• “Trans women are women, I see no need for any discussion.“

This is no stand-up come­dy. The­se are ori­gi­nal quo­tes from our poli­ti­ci­ans, two of them from the depart­ment for fami­lies, seni­or citi­zens, women and youth. One of them is from the minis­ter herself. 

To us, this is a mas­si­ve­ly miso­gy­ni­stic and child-hosti­le development.

Women will not allow rea­li­ty to be dis­tor­ted by legal fic­tions. Poli­ti­ci­ans need to know that we stick to rea­li­ty. We fear that Ger­man juris­dic­tion will ser­ve as a model for other countries.

On Novem­ber 1, 2024, the day the Self-ID Act takes effect in Ger­ma­ny, we will orga­ni­ze a demons­tra­ti­on in front of the Ger­man Bundestag.

Our mot­to will be:

“For sci­ence, demo­cra­cy, women and child­ren – away with the so-cal­led self-ID act!”

We are asking women in other count­ries to demons­tra­te against the Self-Id Act in front of Ger­man embas­sies and con­su­la­tes on the same day. Poli­ti­ci­ans should know that women from all over the world are obser­ving them. They are to be sha­med, we are fed up with their gaslighting!

We will use ana­lo­gies from Orwell’s book „1984“ for our demo, may­be it will inspi­re you, too?

We pre­pared a let­ter tem­p­la­te with ques­ti­ons about the Self-ID Act. You can cus­to­mi­ze the let­ter and send it to the embas­sy or con­su­la­te on your behalf and request a respon­se. Invi­te the ambassa­dors and con­suls to your demo for a chat – we’­ve seen them go out and talk to us.

Plea­se keep hateful or poli­ti­cal state­ments – e.g. for par­tys of your coun­try – out. We fight FOR women’s rights and child pro­tec­tion. • What about men?
  Men are allo­wed at the pro­test as bystan­ders or lis­ten­ers. If you make pho­tos and vide­os, plea­se focus on women. Men should stay in the background.
• What can we do at the site of the pro­test?
  In Ger­ma­ny we will have spea­k­ers who focus on sci­ence, women’s rights and child pro­tec­tion. We recom­mend that you also orga­ni­ze fema­le spea­k­ers who talk about, how Sel­fID harms them per­so­nal­ly and how it harms us all. Also about how a legis­la­ti­on in ano­ther coun­try influen­ces the legis­la­ti­on of your own coun­try. Harmful self iden­ti­ty poli­tics and the era­su­re of women’s rights are a glo­bal issue.
• Natio­nal flags
  If you would like to use natio­nal flags, plea­se use just one flag of your coun­try and one Ger­man flag. Natio­nal flags should not domi­na­te. Thank you.

Lie­be Schwes­tern, wir sind in Not. Wir, die Frau­en. Nicht nur in Deutsch­land – welt­weit, ob West oder Ost, ob Nord oder Süd. Am 12. April die­ses Jah­res hat die Deut­sche Bun­des­re­gie­rung das Selbstbestimmungs­gesetz ver­ab­schie­det und damit die Kate­go­rie „Geschlecht“ gesetz­lich durch „Gen­der“ ersetzt.

Ab dem 1. Novem­ber 2024 gilt in Deutschland:

• Jeder deut­sche Erwach­se­ne kann sei­nen Per­so­nen­stand und Geschlechts­ein­trag sowie sei­nen Vor­na­men durch rei­ne Selbst­aus­sa­ge ändern.
• Wer einen Mann, der behaup­tet, eine „weib­li­che Geschlechts­iden­ti­tät“ zu haben, wei­ter­hin als „Mann“ bezeich­net, kann mit einer Geld­stra­fe von bis zu 10.000 Euro belegt werden.
• Eltern kön­nen das offi­zi­el­le Geschlecht für ihr neu­ge­bo­re­nes Kind wäh­len. Ab dem Alter von 5 Jah­ren ist die „Zustim­mung“ des Kin­des erforderlich.
• Kin­der ab 14 Jah­ren kön­nen sich an ein Fami­li­en­ge­richt wen­den, wenn ihre Eltern sie in ihrem Glau­ben an den „fal­schen Kör­per“ nicht unterstützen.

Die deut­sche Regie­rung ver­kauft ihre frau­en­feind­li­che Poli­tik als „femi­nis­tisch“. Die­se Heu­che­lei ist uner­träg­lich! Die deut­sche Regie­rung igno­riert die Stim­men der Frau­en­recht­le­rin­nen im Lande.

Aber sie igno­riert auch die Stim­men aus der EU, die die Ver­let­zung von Frau­en­rech­ten in Deutsch­land anpran­gern, wie z.B.:

• Pro­sti­tu­ti­on ist seit über 20 Jah­ren legal;
• Gewalt gegen Müt­ter und Kin­der. Das schäd­li­che und unwis­sen­schaft­li­che PAS-Kon­zept (Paren­tal Ali­en­ati­on Syn­dro­me) wird immer noch vor Fami­li­en­ge­rich­ten angewendet;
• Ein­schrän­kung der poli­ti­schen Teil­ha­be von Frau­en. Frau­en wer­den dar­an gehin­dert, über geschlechts­spe­zi­fi­sche Gewalt zu sprechen.

Vor kur­zem hat die UN-Son­der­be­richt­erstat­te­rin für Gewalt gegen Mäd­chen und Frau­en – Reem Alsa­lem – einen 17-sei­ti­gen Brief zum Selbstbestimmungs­gesetz an unse­re Bun­des­au­ßen­mi­nis­te­rin Anna­le­na Baer­bock ver­öf­fent­licht. Dar­in fragt sie die Bun­des­re­gie­rung, wie sie mit die­sem Gesetz den Schutz vor Gewalt und die Sicher­heit von Mäd­chen und Frau­en gewähr­leis­ten will. Von der Stän­di­gen Ver­tre­tung der Bun­des­re­pu­blik Deutsch­land bei der UNO kam eine nichts­sa­gen­de drei­sei­ti­ge Ant­wort zurück.

Die Stim­men der Frau­en wer­den igno­riert. Alles, was wir von Poli­ti­kern hören, ist,

• „Euch wird nichts weggenommen!“
• „Ein Penis ist nicht per se ein männ­li­ches Geschlechtsorgan“
• „Kein Arzt kann anhand des blo­ßen Aus­se­hens fest­stel­len, wel­ches Geschlecht ein Mensch hat.“
• „Trans­frau­en sind Frau­en, ich sehe kei­nen Diskussionsbedarf.“

Das ist kei­ne Stand-up-Come­dy. Das sind Ori­gi­nal­zi­ta­te unse­rer Poli­ti­ker, zwei davon aus dem Minis­te­ri­um für Fami­lie, Senio­ren, Frau­en und Jugend. Eines davon ist von der Minis­te­rin selbst.

Für uns ist das eine mas­siv frau­en­feind­li­che und kin­der­feind­li­che Entwicklung.

Frau­en wer­den nicht zulas­sen, dass die Rea­li­tät durch juris­ti­sche Fik­tio­nen ver­zerrt wird. Die Poli­tik muss wis­sen, dass wir uns an die Rea­li­tät hal­ten. Wir befürch­ten, dass die deut­sche Recht­spre­chung als Vor­bild für ande­re Län­der die­nen wird.

Am 1. Novem­ber 2024, dem Tag, an dem das Selbstbestimmungs­gesetz in Deutsch­land in Kraft tritt, wer­den wir eine Demons­tra­ti­on vor dem Deut­schen Bun­des­tag organisieren.

Unser Mot­to wird sein:

„Für Wis­sen­schaft, Demo­kra­tie, Frau­en und Kin­der – weg mit dem soge­nann­ten Selbstbestimmungsgesetz!“

Die Demons­tra­ti­on wird von 12:05 bis 16:00 Uhr stattfinden.

Wir rufen alle Frau­en in Deutsch­land auf, sich an unse­rem Pro­test in Ber­lin zu beteiligen. 

Wir rufen Frau­en in ande­ren Län­dern auf, am glei­chen Tag vor deut­schen Bot­schaf­ten und Kon­su­la­ten gegen das Selbstbestimmungs­gesetz zu demons­trie­ren. Die Poli­ti­ker sol­len wis­sen, dass sie von Frau­en aus aller Welt beob­ach­tet wer­den. Sie sol­len sich schä­men, wir haben die Nase voll von ihrem Gaslighting!

Wir wer­den für unse­re Demo Ana­lo­gien aus Orwells Buch „1984“ ver­wen­den, viel­leicht inspi­riert es auch Sie?

Ladet die Bot­schaf­ter zu einem Gespräch auf eure Demo ein – wir haben erlebt, dass sie mit uns ins Gespräch gekom­men sind.

Regeln für unse­ren Protest

Im Fokus unse­rer Kund­ge­bung steht die zer­stö­re­ri­sche Wir­kung des Selbst­be­stim­mungs­ge­set­zes. Poli­tisch moti­vier­te Aus­sa­gen zu ande­ren The­men sind nicht gestat­tet. Natio­nal- und Par­tei­sym­bo­lik sind nicht gestattet.

Wir ver­zich­ten kom­plett auf die Betei­li­gung von Par­tei­en und agie­ren unab­hän­gig. Jeden Ver­such einer Instru­men­ta­li­sie­rung durch eine Par­tei leh­nen wir ent­schie­den ab.

Am Schluss unse­rer Kund­ge­bung gibt es ein offe­nes Mikro­fon, an dem Frau­en spon­tan etwas sagen kön­nen. Sicher­heit

1. Komm mög­lichst zusam­men mit ande­ren Frau­en zur Demo und ver­las­se die Demo gemeinsam.
2. Wir haben ein Sicher­heits­kon­zept und Sicherheitspersonal.
3. Bit­te fol­ge immer den Anwei­sun­gen der Demoleitung.
4. Es ist damit zu rech­nen, dass Pres­se vor Ort ist und dass foto­gra­fiert und gefilmt wird. Wenn Du nicht erkannt wer­den möch­test, küm­me­re Dich bit­te um eine ent­spre­chen­de Klei­dung (Kopf­be­de­ckung, Son­nen­bril­le, FFP2-Maske).
5. Bring Dir Ver­pfle­gung, Geträn­ke und wet­ter­ge­rech­te Klei­dung mit. Bit­te kei­ne Glasflaschen.
